When a Label is More Than Just a Label

All Fundraising Labelled Up

The Hospice of St Francis

Just one year before our own inception a new charity was started by a group of dedicated and driven volunteers to campaign for a Hospice to serve Berkhamsted and surrounding areas. Fundraising began in earnest and in the first year, what then became The Hospice of St Francis, cared for 21 people. Today this number has risen to over 2,000. The essence of the care provided has not changed over time and these precious lives are helped to live as well as they can in their final years, months or days.

40 Year Anniversary

Over the 40 years since their inception, volunteers have been at the heart of the Hospice. From just 25 in 1979, there are now 6 volunteers to every paid member of staff at the Hospice and they give a total of 130,000 hours of the time every year.

40 Year Birthday Label

Fundraising continues to be essential and 87% of the income is raised in partnership with local people. The Hospice has a number of fund raising events to get involved in, suitable for everyone, whether you want to join in some family fun, challenge yourself in a sporting event or simply visit a concert or fayre.

This year the Hospice will celebrate it’s 40th anniversary and the birthday events calendar is filling up from June onwards. There are Prayer Vigils, The Garden Party, Celebrating Fashion, Walks and Sky Dives. All for you to take part in and support.

A Very Important Label

We were delighted when we were contacted by The Hospice of St Francis to print some labels to help promote their 40 year anniversary. We were even more delighted once they had been printed and delivered, to find out how pleased the team were with the celebratory labels.

Fundraising Stickers

Lisa, a Community Fundraising Assistant for the Hospice said:

“This was the first time using inkREADible and they were brilliant to work with. From quote to delivery to having the actual stickers in our hands, their customer service has been fantastic.

The fundraising and the communications teams at the Hospice are very impressed with the quality and have had great joy in distributing them. We have put them on letters, home collection boxes and will be giving them out to children at our Ashridge Garden Party.

Thank you inkREADible for our fantastic 40th birthday stickers!”

And on that note, all we can say is a huge thank you to The Hospice of St Francis for all they do for their local community and to wish you well in your fundraising endeavours during this very important year.
