Welcoming Jon Tucker, Our New Sales Manager at inkREADible
The inkREADible team are delighted to be welcoming Jon Tucker as our new Sales Manager. With a strong background in packaging and labelling, Jon brings a wealth of knowledge that will help us support our customers even better. In this Q&A, we get to know Jon, his experience and how his expertise will add value for our clients.
Can you tell us a little about your background and what brought you into the world of labels?
I’ve been in the print and packaging industry for over 15 years now, and labels have played a major part in that journey. I first got into the sector as a Customer Service Account Manager at AJS Labels, and over time, I moved through commercial and production roles, eventually becoming Commercial Manager and then Production Manager, which gave me a really well-rounded view of the entire label production process - from quoting and sales through to delivery and quality control.
What excites you most about joining inkREADible Labels?
What excites me most about joining inkREADible Labels is being part of a team that’s all about creativity, quality and pushing boundaries. After years in the industry, I’m excited to bring my experience to a place that doesn’t just make labels but makes brands shine.
I love working closely with customers, solving challenges and helping them stand out on the shelf. This role feels like the perfect fit to combine my passion for great products with building real, lasting relationships and I can’t wait to get stuck in with the inkREADible team.
How will you be supporting customers, what kind of advice and expertise can they expect from you?
As a Sales Manager, I’m someone who understands their business challenges and I would look to offer tailored label solutions that help them stand out in their market. Customers can expect me to provide honest advice based on knowledge of our products, industry trends and what works best for their packaging.
I’ll work closely with our clients to identify their needs, suggest the most effective materials, finishes and printing techniques, and ensure they get the best value from our services. Beyond just closing a sale, I focus on building long-term partnership - being responsive, proactive and always looking for ways to add value to their business. Whether it’s solving a problem, speeding up a timeline, or offering creative options, I’ll be there to support them every step of the way. As they grow, we would like inkREADible to support them on their journey.
Are there any particular industries or types of customers you’re looking forward to working with most.
I’m open and enthusiastic about working across a wide range of industries, as each one brings its own unique challenges and opportunities to add value. I’m especially looking forward to working with customers in the food & beverage and cosmetics industries. These sectors rely heavily on eye-catching, high-quality labels to convey brand identity, product information and regulatory details - all while standing out on the shelf. I enjoy the strategic challenge of helping these brands bring their vision to life through packaging.
I’m also excited to work with artisan producers and start-ups, businesses that are passionate about their products and often need guidance on label options, compliance and cost-effective solutions. Being part of their journey from concept to shelf is something I find really rewarding.
What’s your approach to helping customers balance quality, creativity and cost-effectiveness in their labels
I’ve always enjoyed the mix of creativity, technical detail and fast-paced problem-solving that comes with labels. Whether it’s helping a brand launch a new product or improving efficiencies in production, there’s a real satisfaction in seeing something tangible go from concept to shelf.
What’s kept me in the industry is the relationships, both with customers and internal teams and the constant evolution of the market. After several years managing both operations and sales at Matform Ltd, I’m excited to bring that experience into a role where I can focus fully on helping customers find the right solutions and growing the business.
Finally, outside of labels, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I’m really into golf and just starting out in the game, it’s a great way for me to relax and stay competitive. I’m also the assistant manager at Wick FC, which I really enjoy. It keeps me involved in the game and lets me work with a great group of people. I’ve always been a fan of horse racing too, and I enjoy the social side that comes with it - whether it's a day at the races or just catching up with friends. I like keeping busy and staying connected with people outside of work.
Exciting times!
