The 2025 Dalemain World Marmalade Awards proved once again that marmalade isn’t just a breakfast staple – it’s a global passion. Celebrating its 20th anniversary, this year’s event welcomed over 3,200 entries from around the world, with jars arriving from as far afield as Portugal, South Korea, and Taiwan. That’s a whole lot of citrus love.
One of the most exciting moments? Hitomi Wakamura from Tokyo wowed the judges with her incredible Yuzu & Pear marmalade, earning the coveted Double Gold Homemade “Winner of Winners” title. Her award-winning creation will soon be hitting the shelves at the prestigious Fortnum & Mason. We’re already dreaming of that first spoonful!
Of course, this celebration of all things citrus wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of Jane Hasell-McCosh and the brilliant team behind the scenes. Not only does the event shine a light on incredible homemade talent, but it also raises money for Hospice UK.
