LONDON MARATHON 2013 - PLEASE SPONSOR GENEROUSLY BY VISITING MY WEBISTE AT http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/BeeHodge

I have run several marathons for various charities and in 2013, I have decided to run the London Marathon for MACS - The Micro & Anophthalmic Children's Society.

MACS conditions are devastating and incurable. Anophthalmia is a rare developmental abnormality in which babies are born with no eye or small eye in the eye socket.  Coloboma is a related condition where one or more of the layers of the eye fail to fuse properly leaving a small gap.

As there is no method of detecting this condition whilst the baby is in the womb, it can be devastating and isolating when the baby is born.  The range of condition vary from a child having no sight in just one eye to a complete absence of eyes, this in turn can lead to hindrance of brain development which in turn lead to learning difficulties and behavioural problems.

The Charity is run entirely by volunteer parents all of whom have a child with these eye condition.  I hope you will sponsor my run and donate generously to this very worthwhile cause.

If you would like to know more about the Charity, please visit their website at www.macs.org.uk.

PRESS RELEASE (July 2011)

inkREADible Labels Ltd, well known for supplying labels to the food and drink industry has recently invested in a digital printing machine specially designed to perform short runs at lower cost.  The machine is ideal for producers wanting smaller batches of labels over a number of different varieties.

Bee Hodge, Managing Director said: “We work very closely with small producers and delis, many of them produce a great variety of products but only need to purchase a small quantity  of each sort at a time.  In the current economic climate, it is sensible to carry minimum stock; with our new machine our customers can purchase what they require, especially smaller volumes without having to pay a price penalty.”

“Full colour printing can be expensive if you are only looking for small quantities, say anything less than 5,000.  Cash flow is always an issue and many producers feel forced to purchase more labels than they would ideally like to in order to enjoy the lower prices that can come with larger volumes  - with our latest addition, we are looking to fill the gap in the market for those who only wish to purchase “ a little at a time”.

“For those requiring medium to longer runs, we will continue to supply competitive priced labels using the larger press.”

“One of the facilities we also offer is the ability to combine full colour print with hot foil. This gives the label a real boost in appearance and quality. Hot foiling provides labels with an embossed feel and is particularly popular amongst condiment, olive oil, wine, beer and spirit producers”.

“Many of the smaller producers, independent retailers, delicatessens, cafes and farm shops we work with have welcomed our latest addition, and interestingly enough, some are looking to re-brand in order to take advantage of the options now
